As part of International Women in Cyber Day (IWCD) 2025, the Women CyberSecurity Society (WCS2) is leading the Google Cybersecurity Career Certificate Scholarship program as part of it's committment to reducing barriers to entry and creating clear pathways to long-term career success for women in cybersecurity.
The Women CyberSecurity Society has partnered with Grow with Google to offer a 100% fully funded Cybersecurity Career Certificate scholarship. Valued at $300 USD, this opportunity removes the financial barrier to high-quality training so more learners can build job-ready skills. Eligible applicants pay no fees, receive structured guidance, and join a supportive community focused on access, equity, and real career outcomes. Earn an industry-recognized credential with the Grow with Google Cybersecurity Career Certificate. The curriculum is aligned to real entry-level roles and taught through hands-on labs, case studies, and practical assessments. The program’s learning path builds the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to pursue the CompTIA Security+ certification. Courses cover core exam domains—threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities; architecture and design; implementation; operations and incident response; and governance, risk, and compliance—with hands-on labs, assessments, and scenarios that mirror tasks. The scholarship unlocks six months of structured, self-paced training designed for busy learners. You can progress on your schedule, with recommended pacing of 8–10 hours per week across sequenced modules, labs, and assessments. Milestones help you stay on track, while community support, study groups, and check-ins keep you motivated from start to finish. Expect coverage of networking, Linux, SOC, SIEM, threat analysis, and incident response, capped by a capstone showcasing your skills!
To apply, you must be at least 16 years of age, commit to completing the full six-month training program, and agree to the WCS2 Code of Conduct. Applicants also consent to the respectful use of their name, story, or achievements for future awareness campaigns to inspire others in the community. This helps us highlight success, build role models, and encourage more people to pursue cybersecurity as a career. The program is open globally, except in countries under Canadian sanctions.
